We are now offering a Click and Collect service. Library members can reserve items online and pick them up from any of the libraries in Milton Keynes.

How does Click and Collect work?

• This service allows members to borrow items through a safe and controlled collection system.
• You can reserve items as normal through the library catalogue or request a 'pick and mix' selection (see more info below). 
• When reserving items make sure you select the library you want to collect from in 'Pickup location'.
• You will receive an automated email or letter once your items are ready to be collected.
• Once you have been contacted, you can collect your items from your chosen pick up location. If you're not comfortable with entering the library, contact your chosen pick-up library and let them know you wish to collect from the door. 
• You will need to bring the library card used to place the order, or some ID if you have an online membership. 
• Please bring your own bag if you think you will need one.

Will Click and Collect cost me anything?

• Items reserved through Click and Collect are charged at the normal reservation rates.
• Pick and mix requests remain FREE.

When can I collect?

• Once you have been contacted you can collect items during library opening hours.
• If your items have not been collected within 2 weeks of you being contacted they will be returned to stock and your order cancelled.

Pick and Mix

• There is a Pick and Mix option for children's picture books, fact books and baby (or board) books.
• You can also order a pick and mix selection of adult books.
• To order a Pick and Mix selection for Click and Collect, please email us at library.enquiries@milton-keynes.gov.uk using 'Pick and Mix' as the subject.

In your email, please let us know the following:

• Your library card number(s)
• The library you want to collect from.
• The type of books you would like (picture books, baby books, fact books, romance books, crime books etc.)
• If you are ordering children's books please let us know the age of the reader(s). 
• The number of books you want
• Any particular subjects or interests

A member of staff will select a variety of books for you based on the information you have provided. You will then be contacted when your Pick and Mix selection is available to collect.

If you want a specific title we recommend reserving the item for click and collect instead.

Can I return my books?

Items can be returned to:

• Libraries during Library opening times.
• Items can also be returned using the letterboxes at Central, Bletchley, Newport Pagnell and Woburn Sands libraries. Please do not attempt to use letterboxes at other libraries.
• Items can be returned whenever you have finished with them - you do not need to wait for the due date(s).
